Feelings

One day, when we walked into school, each student had a price of paper on their desk but nobody knew way it was for. Our teacher asked us to crumple up the paper as much as we could without ripping it. When everyone did as told, she asked us to then flatten it out as best as we could. The class was confused because she just asked us to crumple it. Everybody flattened it as best as they could. She taught us something and that the paper represented a persons feelings. When you hurt somebody feeling by not accepting them, or making them feel unwanted that like how we crumpled up the paper. So the moral was if you were to apologize they will still always be hurt inside. So after crumpling up the paper you could flatten it as much as you could but it will always be damaged and never be back to normal and fair again.

So next time you want to say something bad about someone or not make them feel welcome, think about how your making them feel and how they will always be scarred in their heart.

  1. I agree with you and your teacher... Negative comments hurt, and they're not easily "smoothed" away. What a great lesson! Now you can think of that paper before you would ever say anything that might hurt someone. Thank you so much for sharing!
